"I wanna hold you Mommy!"

My sweet sweet little Braden....He is such a joy! I have been meaning to blog about this phrase "I wanna hold you Mommy" for over a year now. Every time he says it to me I think "I've GOT TO get on that blog and record this before he stops saying it!" So here I am FINALLY doing it! Whenever Braden wants me to hold him, he comes to me and raises up his arms and says "I wanna hold you mommy" which sounds more like "I wan holju Mommy" He doesn't understand how to say, "Hold me Mommy" so he says it like that, and it is one of the sweetest things I 've ever heard. It makes my heart melt everytime he says it. I have started saying back to him, "I wanna hold you too Braden." I just love the whole concept! Sooooooo special! I will never forget it and I actually hope he ALWAYS says that when he wants love or a hug from Mommy. Braden you are so special to Mommy! Something else Braden does when he wants to be held, is say he's cold. If I start to get onto him about something and he thinks he's going to get in trouble, he'll say, "Mommy, My cold!" (He replaces "I'm" with "My" for some reason. I don't think he understands the difference between the two. So everything is "My." My tired...my hungry....my cold....my thirsty.....MY CHOO-CHOO!!!" LOL! At first we thought we just had a VERY selfish child on our hands, but then it dawned on me after 2 weeks of him claiming EVERYTHING for himself, that maybe he was replacing "I'm" with "My." So, I didn't feel quite so bad about his "selfishness" ha-ha! Oh yes I almost forgot the ever popular "MY WET" when he spills even a pea sized amount of water on his clothes. I think I have an obsessive compulsive child on my hands....but hey, it got him potty trained by age 2 so i'm not complaining! He practically potty trained himself. A couple weeks of me letting him run around naked, and voila, he quit going in his pants. Even at night---INSANE!!! This kids' awesome! LOL!
